Camps-la-Source

is another calm and peaceful village in Var department, just 5 km away from Brignoles and around 40 km from Tulon.  

 Village is named Camps-la-Source to highlight the important role of water in its development. Numerous sources and channels crossing the village helped to grow the local industry. In 19th century famous factory producing felt and hats was created here (felt is made using high amounts of water) and in 1906 the first wine cooperative in Var was established. Felt and hats factory was closed in 1932 but its brick building still exists today.
